Have you ever felt that your health journey was just patching symptoms rather than truly healing? That's exactly where I found myself before taking an unexpected hiatus from this podcast to transform my approach to wellness—and my entire life.
After spending over $10,000 on functional medicine treatments that only temporarily masked my symptoms, I discovered a profound truth: our bodies are designed to heal themselves when given the right environment. That realization sparked a complete reinvention of my path. Rather than continuing as a frustrated patient following restrictive diets and expensive supplement regimens, I earned my doctorate in functional medicine and opened Being Whole—a 6,000 square foot wellness center that combines root-cause testing with powerful healing modalities.
What makes this story even more remarkable is how the vision came to me during a meditation session years ago. I received a complete "download" of what would become Being Hohl—the name, the building with its many rooms, each housing different wellness modalities. At the time, I was a real estate agent with no formal training in wellness, yet the universe had already mapped out my future. Today, that vision has manifested exactly as foreseen, with our center helping clients reset their bodies through red light therapy, PEMF, hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic massage, and personalized protocols based on comprehensive testing.
My guiding philosophy is simple but transformative: "Test, don't guess." Through simple diagnostic tests like saliva analysis, we identify what's truly happening in your body rather than making educated guesses. We then create custom protocols that blend with our various therapeutic modalities to provide what I call a "factory reset" for your body. Whether you're struggling with mental health challenges, chronic fatigue, or unexplained symptoms, we're here to look at the whole person—not just isolated issues.
